Privacy
No cookies, no ads, no third-party trackers. We count a few things so we can tell which game experiments players care about — and we do it without knowing who you are.
What we measure
When you open a page on this site, or click Play demo, Wishlist on Steam, I want more, Leave feedback or a link to another site, your browser sends us a small event: which page or game it was, which button, the website you came from and any campaign tags in the link (utm), and your country as our hosting provider sees it.
How we count visitors without cookies
To tell visitors apart within one day, our server combines your IP address and browser type with a random value that changes every day, and keeps only the resulting short code. The random value is deleted after two days. We don't store your IP address, and we can't recognise you on another day or trace the code back to you.
What stays in your browser
Only one thing, and only after you press I want more: a note in your browser's local storage that you already did, so the button stays checked. Nothing else is stored on your device.
If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we don't send any page or click events. I want more still counts, because you pressed it on purpose.
Who handles the data
- Cloudflare runs our small counting service and its database on our behalf.
- GitHub Pages hosts the site itself. GitHub logs visitors' IP addresses for security purposes, under GitHub's own privacy statement.
- Fonts and images come from this site, not from anyone else. Links to itch.io, Steam and social networks take you to their own sites and their own privacy rules.
How long we keep it
Individual events for 400 days, then they are deleted. Daily totals — numbers only, no codes and no IP addresses — we keep as part of our studio's records.
Why
It is our legitimate interest to know which game experiments people play and want more of, and how they find us (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). The note in your browser is strictly necessary for the button you pressed.
Your rights and contact
You can ask us for access, erasure or object to the processing at hello@stoneforgelabs.games. Because we don't keep anything that links to you, we usually can't find data that is "yours" — but write to us and we will check. You can also complain to the Czech data protection authority, Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů.
